Women at the University
A major aim of the entire European Science Policy is to create working conditions at universities which give equal opportunities to people of both genders, so that they can develop their scientific potential to the full.
This aim affects all components of the university,
- the contents of research and teaching as much as
- the organisation and
- HR resource structures.
The University of Graz employs three institutions to improve equal opportunities between women and men: The Working Group for Equal Opportunities, the Coordination Centre for Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities, and the Special Representative of the Rectorate for Gender and Diversity collaborate with different responsibilities and priorities. The area is reporting directly to the rector.
