Co-operations, partner institutions, exchange programmes with approx. 500 universities involving over 3,000 students from all over the world are proof of the University of Graz’s global network. Lively exchange with other cultures and international collaboration enrich scientific life and ensure the quality of teaching and research.
Worldwide network
The University of Graz is involved in numerous worldwide networks. It was the only Austrian university to be admitted to the Utrecht Network and Coimbra Group. 20 university partnerships on three continents provide an ideal basis for global scientific dialogue.
Focus on South-Eastern Europe
Focus on South-Eastern Europe. Due to our favourable location and a long intensive collaboration with South-Eastern Europe, the University of Graz is destined to pay special attention to this region with regard to teaching and research. The scientists have acquired fundamental expertise in the requirements and cooperation potential of South-Eastern Europe. Thus the University of Graz is an important pioneer in the field of European integration within the EU.
International Teaching
Joint degree programmes with partner universities from all over the world: with the successful development of the Joint-Degree-Programme, the university provides students with international perspectives. Enhanced teaching in English in all faculties has also contributed to the internationalisation of the university.
High Quality Standards
The Office for International Relations ensures coordination and smooth handling of all programmes – with success. The University of Graz is the first Austrian university to have been awarded the Certificate of the Austrian Quality Assurance Agency AQA for its quality management in the field of internationalisation.
