Starting a business
Entrepreneurship is (i) a way of transferring research results to business and society (spin-off) and (ii) a possible professional perspective for graduates of the University of Graz (start-up).
The University of Graz supports entrepreneurial activities within its for this purpose intended structures and initiatives. In the context of entrepreneurial activities by employees of the University of Graz or if companies are founded based on research results generated at the University of Graz, the currently valid versions of the adjacent guidelines need to be take into consideration.

The startup-uni of the University of Graz offers a wide range of programs and individual coaching at all stages (awareness, idea, founding, scale-up) for founders and those interested in founding a company.
Career Mentoring Program concerning self-employment
In the career mentoring program students of the University of Graz from the 5th semester onwards and young graduates who want to start their own business benefit from the interaction with mentors.

The unicorn, a 100% subsidiary of the University of Graz, is a physical hub for entrepreneurship and innovation right at the university campus.
Science Park Graz
Science Park Graz is the joint academic start-up incubator of the University of Graz, TU Graz and the Medical University of Graz.

In the Gründungsgarage (academic) start-up projects are supported over one semester with know-how and coaching.
